Leading and Managing Change

What’s in it for my organization?
Change is an unending and current process in all ongoing organizations. Adopting and reengineering of initiatives have come from an ever demanding marketplace to deliver more with less. Leading Change is about initiating changes in a planned and systematic fashion so as to successfully implement new methods or systems to keep the organization on the cutting edge. Change Management deals with Communicating Change, Modeling Change, Stress Management and Releasing the Past. Change Management enables change to be intentional and building change management competencies on every level of the organization is the only sure way to ensure successful outcomes.

What will I experience?
The course provides a transition process where participants can FOCUS, REFLECT and ACT. Participants will be taught essential skills and functional tools to engage and own a change process and to lead change in the organization.

Transition as a Change Management Model provides the participants with the following experience:
Understanding change and transition
Understanding the three phases of transition
Understanding self-perception of change
Learning and leading through endings
Using DISC® to rebuild control, understanding, support and purpose in the neutral zone
Strategies for creative chaos
Visualizing a new beginning to capitalize on change

The course will also look at 5 behavioral dimensions critical to leading change:
1) Modeling the change

2) Communicating the change

3) Involving others in the change
4) Helping others break from the past
5) Creating a learning environment

Leading change at every level will help participants identify skills necessary to effect sustainable change. As change is a freezing and unfreezing process and a gradual psychological and cultural reorientation that takes place in people in the organization, it requires specific skills to lead and empower them to take ownership and bring about change at every level.
