The Leadership Journey
OTi Consulting firmly believes in adopting a needs-driven approach toward the development of your organization’s leadership journey. Our consulting methodology for leadership, DRIVE involves the following phases:
D – Diagnosis
Empirical evidence suggests that organizations vary in terms of the stages of leadership development as well as key leadership strengths and weaknesses. Hence, there is a need to properly assess the organization’s leadership climate through a systematic audit and gap analysis exercise. The exercise will involve the employment of OTi Consulting’s leadership diagnostic tool and/or focus group interviews for comprehensive data gathering and analysis.
R – Roadmap Development
In response to the conclusions of the diagnosis phase, OTi Consulting will then work with your organization to develop a leadership roadmap for your organization. Upon agreement on the appropriate strategy to raise the leadership competency of your organization, OTi will also assist with the development and execution of a Communication Plan before proceeding with the Implementation phase.
I – Implementation
The Implementation phase typically involves a combination of event and process driven approaches through the conduct of relevant leadership workshops as well as post-workshop coaching/mentoring. Our experience suggests that the strongest impact is often the result of combining both training and application, hence the need to ensure that post-workshop application is being carried out and assistance from a neutral third party is available where required. The support and participation of senior management throughout Implementation is crucial to optimize the impact of the Implementation phase.
V – Validation
At strategic points during and post implementation, OTi Consulting will conduct further assessment to validate the efficacy of the implementation. Where necessary, further refinement to the Leadership Roadmap will be made. We believe that an iterative process from Roadmap Development to Implementation, through to Validation is the most prudent approach for organizations to navigate through the leadership journey.
E – Excellence
Foundational to organizational excellence are early indicators such as improved morale and increased motivation amongst staff of the organization, paving the way toward greater organizational performance. As the leadership efforts of your organization begin to yield fruits in both tangible and intangible ways, reinforce your commitment toward leadership excellence at every level by celebrating and recognizing role models who have taken the courage to learn and transform themselves as leaders.
