What’s in it for my organization?
Be it at the shop floor or office, an employee is confronted daily with a variety of problems or issues that needs to be resolved. An employee that is able to effectively manage and solve workplace problems will definitely be an asset to the organization.

This module will equip the participant with the skills and knowledge to effectively size up, analyze and take action on a problem. Emphasis will be placed on the participant’s role as supervisor in leading the team towards organizational objectives.

What will I experience in this learning journey?
This Problem Solving and Decision Making module for the Supervisory Level covers the following:
Anticipate and Identify Problems
Detect a likely problem
Verify information surrounding the perceived problem and arrive at the exact problem
Generate and Evaluate Alternative Solutions to a Problem
Facilitate generation of ideas to solve a problem
Evaluate the value and impact of selected ideas
Make a Decision and Take Responsibility for It
Decide on and implement a preferred solution
Evaluate the implemented solution and, where necessary, execute modification(s) for a permanent solution

Who would benefit from this learning experience?
This module is targeted at any individual who has direct subordinates reporting to him/her. He/she has some responsibility for formulating goals and policies of an organization, and/or administering its policies and programs.
