FEBRUARY 2008

OTi's Got Talent!

OTi had our staff Christmas Celebration Dinner on 15 December 2007. The theme was "OTi's Got Talent", and we really pulled out all stops to showcase our hidden talents. From singing muppets and dancing divas, to Christmas carols sung in ancient China, topped off by a Peking "duck" who loves singing Di Nu Hua...our performances really displayed the wacky, fun-loving side of OTi staff!

COCP III: Team Roles & Conflicts

OTi had our 3rd Community of Certified Practitioners (COCP) meeting on 4 January 2008. Participants were put to work in the first instance by having to come up with a product with the materials provided and having to sell it.

The 3 stages of production:Creativity Brewing Crafting and Designing Product Testing

Guest speaker Mr Ng Boon Hwang, Director of NTU's Career & Attachment Office, shared with the participants his passion for ‘matchmaking’ graduates to the right jobs. On top of competencies training, attachment experience and career coaching, he believes that profiling tools can help both parties to find better fit.

He also used DiSC to profile his department. Studying their profiles helped to enhance their working relationships and guided them in achieving their KPIs as a team.

Participants were treated to a complimentary profile of the Team Dimensions Profile which helped them identify their most natural approach or most comfortable role on a team. Reflecting on the earlier activity, they could then understand why each member behaved the way he/she did during the project.

Do join us at our next COCP meeting on 20 March 2008, Thursday @ 3pm.
