OTi Consulting Wins 2004 Singapore Family Friendly Award

OTi Consulting has been declared an Employer of Choice after winning the 2004 Singapore Family Friendly Employer Award involving a total of 456 participating organizations. Despite the more rigorous auditing and validation processes adopted in this year’s selection, OTi Consulting together with 66 other organizations, was recognized for implementing excellent pro-family practices and family friendly programs to achieve better work-life balance.

OTi’s family friendly programs include flexible work arrangements such as telecommuting and permanent part-time, and leave benefits such as compassionate leave, paternity leave and marriage leave. A Division Staff Wellness Scheme has also been set up to address specific needs of staff from OTi’s various divisions.

OTi’s telecommuting arrangement has been particularly valuable to the organization in terms of increased productivity and retention of top performers. Our employees under the scheme are productive as they can focus on their work and family needs. They also have greater flexibility, due to time saved on traveling to and from the office.

The Singapore Family Friendly Employer Award recognizes employers for the adoption of pro-family work practices. It encourages all organizations to nurture and support a workplace culture that helps staff manage work and family commitments effectively in order to enhance the productivity and profitability of the organizations and the job satisfaction of the staff.

To assist in the evaluation process, the Tripartite Committee on Work-Life Strategy (TriCom), enlisted the help of Ms Helen Lim-Yang, Vice President of OTi and a work-life consultant, to conduct an independent audit on the work-life culture of each short-listed organization.
