2003 National HRM Pharma Association Annual Meeting in Dalian, China

OTI CONSULTING was invited to conduct a brief seminar as part of the 2003 National HRM Pharma Association Annual Meeting, held on the 25th July 2003 in Dalian, China.

Organized by the Executive Committee of the Pharmaceutical Group, the Annual Meeting served to address upcoming HR issues of the China pharmaceutical industry. This meeting was attended by 84 representatives from some of the top pharmaceutical companies in China such as Johnson & Johnson China (Shanghai) Ltd, Shanghai Roche Pharmaceutical Co.,Ltd, Wyeth-Whitehall Pharm Co.,Ltd, GlaxoSmithKline (China) Investment Co.,Ltd., Eli Lilly Asia, Inc and Bayer Healthcare Company Co.,Ltd.

Held in Central Plaza Hotel Dalian, OTi Consulting's Country Manager for China, Mr Daniel Liu flew in to Dalian to conduct a 1 ½ hr session on Inscape Publishing's DiSC Classic, a learning instrument used in dozens of training & coaching applications by over 40 million users worldwide. This profile has been translated into 21 languages in over 50 countries, and during this Meeting, participants were given the opportunity to use the Mandarin version.

Using the DISC dimensions of behavior and OTi Consulting's interactive training methodolgy, Daniel engaged the audience with the various applications of DISC at the workplace through experiential activities and role-plays. Besides having a lot of fun, participants of the session returned with a personal DISC profile each and a better understanding of their personal workplace behavioral styles.
